T-Mobile does not have big names like the Storm2 or the Motorola Droid lined up for a release tomorrow but the largest US carrier will release the US version of the Sony Ericsson T707, also known as Sony Ericsson Equinox, this month. The Equinox comes across as a 3G clamshell option that features a 2.2 inch QVGA internal display and a 3.2MP camera as standard features. GPS, stereo Bluetooth, direct YouTube access and FM radio also make it to the spec sheet of the Equinox. The clamshell will be a glittering handset with special light effects with which you could associate a maximum of five contacts. T-mobile will offer the Equinox for $50 on a contract for two years which means that the Equinox will be an entry-level 3G handset. To spice up the launch, Sony Ericsson will have its brand ambassador Maria Sharapova present at the opening of a new TMo store in LA on the last day of this month.
