Samsung have also confirmed that the i8510 will be solely branded as the i8510 here in the UK in contrast to the Innov8 moniker it will go under in the rest of Europe. This news will cement the i8510′s place as the first 8.0 Megapixel camera phone to launch in the UK. But if you think that’s all this powerhouse is packing, you’re way off the mark.

Samsung G800 Camera Mobile Phone boasts to be the world’s first phone that incorporates a 5 megapixel camera with optical zoom. An elegantly designed handset, this Samsung G800 comes equipped with all the advanced features. Though Nokia N95 and Sony Ericsson K850i, both have 5 megapixel camera, this Samsung mobile stands apart from them because of its 3x optical zoom. Optical zoom is quite common in digital cameras, but rarely does it come in a mobile phone due to size constraints. The optical zoom in this Samsung mobile phone zooms into the image with the full 5 megapixel resolution and along with xenon flash gives you high quality images. It also has Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and Face Detection that adjusts the focus and exposure to optimise the appearance of the face. Though it comes with all the advanced features like face detection, WDR, ISO settings and anti-shake, there is one downside to this camera, that it does not give you the same clarity in low light conditions.

The SGH-J700 doesn't do anything to set the world alight, even in  its Orange exclusive purple version. It is nicely designed though,  and its outer shell makes it look like a better featured mobile than  it really is. Samsung's J700 is fairly widely available. You can pick it up on O2 pay and go and Vodafone pay as you talk in black, but only Orange has the purple version. This purple SGH-J700 is available on Orange pay as you go for £69.99, and Orange supplied me with a review sample. This is a slider handset and its looks are pretty standard in comparison to some of Samsung's mobiles. It doesn't have a touchscreen and isn't amazingly tiny, nor does it have a fancy mega-sophisticated camera and in fact it doesn't claim to be super-duper at anything.

Yeah, you guessed it, here's the latest gaming handset that will no doubt remain on Eastern shores. On top of the usual mp3 player, 2 megapixel camera and the ability to make phone calls, the B550 has a 3D graphics processor and what looks like dedicated gaming buttons and configuration. Even though we wont be seeing this just yet, at least Samsung are letting Nokia know that they are ready to drop a few gaming handsets next year. If you're not aware that Nokia is relaunching the N-Gage, you should be. They've got it right this time, turning N-Gage into a platform that runs across (eventually) all of Nokia's Nseries handsets. And better still, the company is coming out swinging against comparisons with Sony Ericsson's rumoured PlayStation phone. "I'm not scared about anybody," says Jaakko Kaidesoja, head of games at Nokia. "The real question is how do they [Sony Ericsson] do it? Can they create a link between the PSP games and a phone? Can they do the multiplayer and online stuff? We've been doing this for two years and it hasn't been easy." Meanwhile, Nokia is preparing to commercially release the new N-Gage application for its N82 and N95 handsets, adding to the N81, while Kaidesoja says that making N-Gage games touchscreen-compatible is also on the agenda.

In delightfully conflicting reports today, Nokia claimed that consumers want mobile TV, while an InsightExpress poll concluded that Americans hardly want it at all. Of course there will be a disparity between an American poll and Nokia's European trials, where they claim to have found that people enjoy TV on their mobiles and are willing to pay 5 to 10 euros a month for the privilege. But over in the states a resounding 75 percent said, "I am not interested in watching TV programs or movies on my handheld device." So which one is it? T-Mobile Germany HTC Sense

Due to licensing issues and a bunch of legal mumbo-jumbo, the fabulous and greatly-hoped-for HTC Sense UI will not… I repeat, NOT… be available for any Google-branded phones. Essentially, both the G1 and myTouch 3G on T-Mobile are Google-branded and are disqualified from the HTC Sense experience, so if you want HTC Sense on your Android phone, it appears that hackery the Dream and Magic are your best options. If you do somehow manage to get the HTC Sense experience on your phone, let us know how it is for you!

T-Mobile Germany

Oh, the cruelty—German pre-order customers still waiting for their iPhone 3Gs to be delivered apparently received this sick little joke in the mail instead, obviously inspired by reader Matt's original papercraft iPhone he made to quell the anticipation for the first launch. My German is, well, I don't speak it, but Google does, and it seems as if the full flyer after the jump is labeled "As a small passtime/tinkering project" at the top. Just plain sick.

T-Mobile Blasts Apple iPhone

T-Mobile launched a new, funny “Mac VS PC-inspired” television campaign on Tuesday which throws punches at AT&T’s infamously slow 3G network and the Apple iPhone’s requirement of Wi-Fi when using FaceTime (ultimately AT&T’s fault). Called “PiggyBack”, the commercial promotes T-Mobile’s new MyTouch 4G phone with video chat over, you guessed it, their new 4G HSPA+ network without the requirement of Wi-Fi. T-Mobile ditched their old cougar, Catherine Zeta-Jones, for a newer model in the commercial who effectively distracts customers from reading the small text “T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network is not available in all locations”. If you ask me, how is that any better than being tethered to Wi-Fi? Maybe Verzion will save the world in January. Video below.

like any newer android phones or cdma? i haven't heard anything yet and wanna know! I think they will be coming out with a few new phones… Probably basic phones though.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc unlocked for AT&T 3G and T-Mobile EDGE

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is a much beautiful phone than my previous X10. SE Arc is a very sexy phone. The curvy back makes it outstanding. More than a year after launch and it still has the highest res screen, which I find pretty impressive. Anyway, although I’m glad that SE finally release this phone, it’s close to “too late” again, and the price is not that attractive. I was hoping for $500 price point, not $600. Maybe the Neo would be cheaper.

There is no doubt that the new concept Flip phone is awesome. The phone comes from designer Kristian Ulrich Larsen. It’s different with normal model. The phone has 3 screen displays and runs Android OS, that can be transformed in different ways depending on what the user wants to do with it. Having 3 screens on a phone opens up a number of possibilities in dealing with the content on the device. The Flip also has QWERTY keyboard. It’s cool, right? Hope it come true earlier.
